Dr. Guha Pradeepa has been involved in large epidemiological studies such as the Chennai Urban Population Study (CUPS), Chennai Urban Rural Epidemiology Study (CURES), Prevention, Awareness, Counselling and Evaluation [PACE] Diabetes Project and Cardiometabolic Risk Reduction in South Asia (CARRS) surveillance study.
She is also National Co-Principal Investigator of the Indian Council of Medical Research – India Diabetes (ICMR-INDIAB) Study, a large epidemiological study with a total sample size of 124,000, which will, for the first time, provide representative, population-based data on the prevalence of diabetes and pre-diabetes in both urban and rural India. She is also currently coordinating the Lifestyle InterVention in Gestational Diabetes (LIVING) trials, which is a lifestyle intervention program for the prevention of type 2 diabetes mellitus among South Asian women with gestational diabetes mellitus. Dr.Guha Pradeepa will be contributing to the Digital Health intervention component of the NGHRU project.
